EDWARD ELRIC

Edward Elric,the oldest of the two brothers, is physically short as well as short tempered. What he loses in height he gains in alchemy. Edward became the youngest State Alchemist in history and called a prodical genius.

All state alchemist are given code names, Edward is dubed Full Metal Alchemist. (Hagane no Renkinjutsushi) due to his auto-mail body, his arm and leg.

He is now on a quest to recover his original body along with his brothers. To accomplish this he is in search for the philosopher's stone. This long search brings them to many life threatening situations.

Fullmetal Alchemist

Alchemy is not only possible, but used frequently. Alchemy is a science and with all sciences there are laws that must be followed. Here is the sad, funny, serious, and adventurous anime: Full Metal Alchemist. The story begins about two brothers, Alphonse and Edward Elric. Ever since they were young they had practiced the science of alchemy. This anime follows through their whole life in its sorrows and funny moments in to regain what they lost. Their father was a well recognized alchemist, which is where their knack for it comes from. When they were young their father left, and they staied in the care of their mother. One day their mother died, and in their innocence and ignorance, they attempted what was forbidden, human alchemy. Homoculious. What happened next, they were not prepared for, and in the aftermath the brothers lost more than just their mother. In the freak accident Alphonse loses his body, and in panic Edward seals his brother's soul to a piece of armor. Edward loses an arm and a leg, a constant reminder of what has happend. The story begins and details the brother's journey to find a alchemy amplifier, the philospher's stone, so that they may return to their normal bodies "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's first law of equivalent exchange. In those days we really believed that to be the world's one and only truth."
